Connecting People to a New Life in Christ

The mission of New Life Church is to help people experience new life with Jesus Christ.

John 7:7-10
"[7] Therefore, Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. [8] All, who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. [9] He will come in and go out, and find pasture. [10] The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

2 Corinthians 5:17-19
"[17] Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! [18] All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: [19] that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation."

Vision Statement

New Life Church is a body of believers that worships God in the liberty of the Holy Spirit. We fulfill the great commission by boldly proclaiming Jesus Christ in word and deed all over the world.

Staff: Pastor Scrivner and Dolores Damon, Senior Pastors

From his youth, Scrivner Damon knew that the Lord had set him apart for the work of ministry. After receiving Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, Scrivner immediately became passionate about serving God with his life, particularly by ministering in the pastorate. After graduating from Southeastern Assemblies of God University (Lakeland, Florida) in 1966, he and his wife, Dolores, became associate pastors at their home church, Calvary Temple Assembly of God (West Palm Beach, Florida).

Continuing to remain yielded to the Holy Spirit's direction, Scrivner and Dolores moved from South Florida to the middle of the state, where they ended up pastoring Brooksville Assembly of God. During their four years of service as the church's senior leaders, the Damons witnessed a mighty revival break out in their midst. While in Brooksville, Pastor Scrivner hosted the daily radio program, Today's Devotional.

The Lord relocated the Damons once again. In 1973 they sensed the call of God to establish a church in North Palm Beach, Florida. This was called the Palm Beach Cathedral Assembly of God, which influenced the community for more than 30 years. After reorganizing and changing facilities, Palm Beach Cathedral became New Life Church, a dynamic local fellowship dedicated to discipleship, missions, evangelism, and the present move of the Holy Spirit. New Life Church continues to bless and provide resources for communities of believers in the Philippines, India, and Cuba.
